Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Easeful iPhone app. By downloading or using Easeful, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Your licence to use Easeful
Easeful is licensed, not sold, to you. Your licence is Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA for App Store apps), which applies in full and is incorporated here by reference. These terms of use supplement that EULA. Where the two conflict on a matter the EULA addresses, the EULA governs.
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of the standard EULA and may enforce it against you.
2. Easeful is a wellness app, not medical care
Easeful is for general wellness, education, and self-knowledge only. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and nothing it shows you is medical advice.
In particular:
- Not contraception. Easeful must not be used to prevent pregnancy. Its predictions, fertile-window estimates, and ovulation estimates are not a birth control method and offer no protection against pregnancy or sexually transmitted infection.
- Not a fertility guarantee. Easeful cannot tell you whether or when you are fertile, whether you have ovulated, or whether you are pregnant. It makes no promise that using the app will help you conceive.
- Predictions are estimates. They are calculated from the data you enter and from typical patterns. They will sometimes be wrong, and they can be substantially wrong if your cycles are irregular, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are approaching menopause, if you use hormonal contraception, or if you have a condition such as PCOS, endometriosis, or a thyroid disorder.
- Coaching is general guidance. Nutrition, exercise, fasting, and recovery suggestions are general wellness information, not a prescription, treatment plan, or personalised clinical recommendation. Some suggestions will not be appropriate for you.
- Reports are a conversation starter. Any summary or PDF Easeful generates for a clinician is a convenience for discussion, not a diagnostic record.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about any medical question, and before acting on anything you read in the app. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something Easeful showed you. If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Easeful is not a monitoring service and cannot alert anyone on your behalf.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. The app's output is only as good as the data behind it.
- You are responsible for your own decisions about your health, including how you interpret and act on anything the app shows you.
- You are responsible for your device and its backups. Easeful stores your data on your device; if you lose the device without a backup or without iCloud sync enabled, that data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
- If you share a summary with a partner, you are responsible for choosing what to share and with whom.
- You agree to use the app lawfully, and not to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or attempt to misuse it, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to use Easeful. If you are a minor, you should use it with a parent or guardian's involvement.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
Easeful may offer optional paid features through in-app purchase. All billing is handled by Apple through your Apple Account — we never see or process your payment details.
- The price, billing period, and what is included are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- To cancel or manage a subscription, open the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions, select Easeful, and turn off auto-renew or cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription covering the same content.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices and the contents of a plan may change; changes apply from the next billing period, with notice as required by the App Store and applicable law.
5. Availability and changes to the app
We may update, change, or discontinue features. Some features depend on your device and iOS version — for example, coaching generated by Apple's on-device models requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence, State of Mind entries in Apple Health require iOS 18 or later, and meal scanning requires a physical iPhone. Where a feature is unavailable, Easeful falls back to what your device supports. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
6. Intellectual property
The Easeful app, its name, its design, its written content, and its bundled data remain our property or that of our licensors. Your logged data is yours. We claim no ownership of it and, as described in the privacy policy, we do not receive it.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Easeful is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app's predictions, insights, or coaching are accurate, complete, or suitable for your circumstances.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any non-excludable statutory or consumer rights you have.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Easeful — including any decision you make based on its predictions, insights, or coaching, any unintended pregnancy, any missed or delayed medical care, or any loss of data stored on your device.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to Easeful is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app and its in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim arose, or USD 50.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the app or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Easeful at any time by deleting it from your device; remember to cancel any subscription separately through Apple. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9 survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the app develops or as the law requires. The current version always lives at this page, with the "Last updated" date above reflecting the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted in the app. Continuing to use Easeful after a revision means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.
13. General
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with Apple's standard EULA and the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between us about Easeful.
